Old Gold Shows is an album that features songs from two separate live performances of Frank Sinatra during 1946. The first, recorded on January 2, 1946, features several classical standards, ending with a cover of Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow." The first performance also features a duet featuring guest appearance Peggy Lee. The second performance, this one recorded on October 30, 1946, tries a mix of new and old styles of standards, each featuring a sway of romantic and lush charm.
