"Nature Boy" is a song Frank Sinatra recorded under Columbia Records. Sinatra's rendition of this song was recorded alongside The Jeff Alexander Choir.

The song was made popular by Nat King Cole who had a #1 hit with the song in 1948. Cole recorded the song a second time for his 1961 album The Nat King Cole Story.

This song was released as an A-side single in 1948 with a B-side of "S'posin'," a song recorded alongside The Tony Mottola Trio. "Nature Boy" peaked at #7 on the charts of 1948; its B-side, however, did not chart.[1]

Lyrics[]

There was a boy, a very strange enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far, very far, over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye, but very wise was he

And then one day, a magic day he passed my way
And while we spoke of many things, fools and kings
This he said to me: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return"

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return"
