History[]
Written in 1947, Frank Sinatra was the first to record this song, and he recorded this song for his performance in It Happened in Brooklyn for Columbia Records.
Being that the song was introduced from a film, Sinatra never put this song in a studio album, but the song was initially released as a B-side single of Sinatra's rendition of "I Believe." The song peaked at #16 on the charts.
Sinatra later re-recorded this song under Capitol Records. This rendition was also released in 1959 as a B-side single, this time with the song "French Foreign Legion" from Pal Joey. Sinatra's rendition under Capitol did not chart, however.
